Historically we haven’t spent a lot of time covering the photo themes available, but there are times when some hybrid designs are released which fit into the Content Management System category. Breaking News: News CMS Theme by Mod Themes

We were recently made aware of a new theme store from the designer of the Omni Theme. This new premium theme store is called Mod Themes, and they already have a pretty decent news CMS theme available for purchase.

Going forward, I would expect several other nice offerings from Mod Themes, as they have also brought in popular WordPress coder Nathan Rice in to work on their theme coding, among others.

Since WordPress Zoom released their first CMS theme earlier this year, I’ve been a big fan of their work. In fact, I own a license for a couple of their CMS themes. Theme Wars is one of the newest theme clubs to enter into the premium themes market, and their specialty appears to be with designing quality CMS themes.

The initial concept of the website appears to be simple. They designers create two designs and their users vote on the one they’d most like to see created. The winning theme will then be released!
