The concept of the content management system has been around for wells over a decade now, but the WordPress CMS originated only about two years ago. One of the first CMS WordPress themes released was the original theme by iThemes, known as the Essence theme. Close to two years later, this is still one of my favorite CMS themes!

One of the first releases by the iThemes team was a CMS theme called the Industrial theme. Though we are a little late in providing this review, we can honestly say that it has survived the test of time pretty well!

After a few updates to make it WordPress 2.7 compatible and meeting modern premium theme standards, the Industrial theme really makes a great CMS theme.
